We are a family of nine on a journey and adventure with God. We currently reside in Devon, UK but spent from September 2017 until May 2018 living in Redding, California where we lived a nomadic lifestyle whilst attending Bethel Church and Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. This website is a platform for the celebration of all that God is doing in and around us.
...in response to a call to, "leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land that I will show you" (Gen 12.1).
...because we want to learn from the leadership and culture that has been developed at Bethel over many generations. What grips us most is the vision for both family and revival.
...to get to know God better. This is the best and most fundamental reason!
...to grow in strength as parents, as children and as a family.
...for all the other reasons that we do not yet know about!
Tim and Ruth met at St Andrew's in 2004 having already been part of the Church family for a while. We went on to make St A's our 'home' and have been grateful to see our family grow in this context for the next 11 years! Over that time we had so many encouragements, prophetic words and, best of all, a handful of deep friendships which will surely be life long! It's been fun (and sometimes painful) to share some of our own faith journeys in this time. For the first time, in 2014, we sensed the Lord asking us to leave - particularly through Genesis 12.1-2.
Alongside this word about "leaving your country, your people and your father's household" we had been stewarding a desire to sped some time at Bethel Church, California. After a two week visit to in February 2014, Tim returned with a new mission to get the whole family there.
The desire to go spread through our children family and at times it was hard to contain! Our journey for the next three was about stewarding both the word to 'leave' and our heart desire to 'go'. That is what led us to get on a plane set for Redding, CA, in September 2017 with our whole family. We had the most dramatic, sweet and challenging year of our lives as we lent into our conviction that God would absolutely provide for our practical needs. The family now live in Axminster, Devon and are involved in a small church plant. Tim is also writing a book documenting what happened through the year: being homeless with seven kids; learning to trust God and receiving blessing.
